when using the esky make sure you follow the wiki instuctions and use jodell's tweaks for better flight performace (link in the wiki descriptions)

There is an issue with usb 3 ports on mac. Preferable use a usb 2 port if possible, otherwise you will have to update the firmware as dicribed in the wiki

Yeah for this it would be good if one could ctrl the "real" thurst. This idea already came up in the other hover thread here : I think it would generally useful to compensate the battery voltage dependency of the motor control values ( pwmDuty = controlValue * constant / batteryVoltage ). ...

I flew with the esky already a few times outsite (whcih si increadibly fun after tweaking the parameters to be more dynamic). I also did not tested the range yet but flying until you can hardly see the cf any more was no problem

Yes and no.. You CAN write a program that controlls thrust, pitch, roll and yaw - estimate the velocities and orientations from that and integrate to position, but for absolute position control you would need a gps module.. Its for ps3 (actaly i used bluetooth, but that should not matter).. I saved it under Generic_OS_X. The "PS3_Mode_2" and "Controller (Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows)" is coming from MotionInJoy
