Re: Thrust control law for improved vertical stability and h

The trigger to lock throttle seems like a great way to get a usable yaw with practice - it would likely only be slowly shifting up or down while doing it.
In practice it will likely be shifting down as the center of mass is moved though.

Re: Working FPV Camera setup with realtime HUD

Curved circular camera holder? Genius!

I may need to consult my local hackerspace to get one printed in the future :)

Thinner the better though really, Is there some way to measure the weight of what you 3d print?

Re: Thrust control law for improved vertical stability and h

Very interesting take on throttle control, I'll be interested to try it out when I get home - thanks for the write up about it!

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

Have had three fpv flights so far. Getting progressively longer between crashing it to the ground. I think something odd may happening while charging now. About 5 minutes into charging, the green light stays fully green now. In other words, I don't seem to get a full charge. I try to fly it and only...

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

No shutdown pin in use on mine yet omw. A thought from the products specs page: The SHDN pin can be driven low (under 0.4 V) to power down the regulator and put it in a low-power state.... The SHDN pin can be driven high (above 1.2 V) to enable the board, or it can be connected to VIN or left discon...

Re: OTG Mouse for stable flight.

120-200mv should be fine. We've had people use a 200mv tx+75mv camera alright. The battery did take a hit though.

Brief video coming up to compare video signal with different wiring and connections... But stepup converter, set to 5v, gives me perfect picture even under full throttle - excellent! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BRZO225CUAA26UX.png:large Sample of video received from full throttle motors: https://pbs...

Re the camera Billybag2, It looks similar to the one I use:

If so, the camera on that is listed as 1gram (excluding the cabling).

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

I pulled apart everything, diagnosing cabling and signal troubles. http://i.imgur.com/GevKpHX.jpg Have got it working on the breadboard, now am about to introduce the step up converter and fiddle with that. I think using the stepup to give me 3.3v probably wasn't enough. I'm going to try 4v, and the...
