Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

Re: Video, sure thing! It's actually taking a long time to upload, but: http://youtu.be/d27frLZu5nk --- Clip finished uploading, now have a look! This one is the hotel clip. It crashed a lot of times heh, but I'm getting used to the phone as the controller. Got a few hovers going between 3 and 4 min...

Re: Android client with basic support for PS3 controller

Sounds great, I'll have a go of it when ready too.

You may like these sample photos of your application in action by the way.

Re: Obstacle Course

Most importantly it would need to be aware of its current position to compensate for wind etc... which means a gps. It doesn't have one of those which makes automatic flight beyong using say the magnetometer to emulate hover very tricky.

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

Hello! http://i.imgur.com/EbXCUu6.png I'm trying to find out how to get a more consistent signal. I've got at least three separate videos. One done in a hotel room where the video signal worked pretty much the whole time during flight (5-6 minutes flight time). Next was the screenshot above, where I...

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

Leaving my post above as a progress kind of thing. I have changed the power pin wirings. It's now AGND (pin 19) + VCC (digital supply, pin 15). This combination works perfect ! I have full signal. Infact the signal is better when the rotors are powered up. I just done a ~4 minute flight while learni...

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

On the good side, Derf's android app is installed and appears to run fine, which can help me because I can leave the PS3 Controller behind. This makes the entire package very lightweight to carry around! I think I may have hit a roadblock at the moment though. I have the video signal frequently cutt...

Re: Android client with basic support for PS3 controller

Thanks for the Astro Tip!, and also for the version Derf! Come to think of it, I had run into the same problem (cannot open file) on the SGS2 as well in the past. That version loads up great, I havn't had time to actually connect it yet. I'll do it tonight. *edit* It works fantastic! I don't have a ...

Re: Adding a camera (worklog)

I've done my first full flight! It was still surprisingly agile. ~%75 throttle gave me a consistent hover. with the right dampened settings, or even software that gave you curves to ramp motion, you could have a very effective pan/dolly on your camera while in mid air. Video dropout has been very hi...
