Re: Self stabilizing using the 3-axis accelerometer?

Also had the ceiling thing until I got your last contribution (b3f0802) today, Matt.

My Crazyflie is hovering now!!

Still some oscillation in the altitude but it's very close. Amazing!

Phillip, Matt, everyone, great work, sure is fun! Thanks!

Re: Controller modding

From within the VM, I used this instead tonight:

xboxdrv --deadzone 15% --silent

Works just fine to add the DEADZONE around all the axes. Much cleaner way to go.

Re: Controller modding

Greets and thanks for the tip TheFrog4u! From reading the board it seemed that MotionJoy was only for used to interface DS3 controllers. Is that not the case? I completely missed that MotionJoy would have benefit for the XBox360, but if that's the case I'm all for it. Is there a linux version of the...

Re: Controller modding

Hello OK and all! I've been meaning to comment on this issue for a couple days. I'm also running an Wireless XBox360 controller, something I just happened to have on hand and was considering upgrading. What I've noticed is the Crazyflie is pretty much un-flyable, as the right stick's values are only...

Re: Virtual Machine XBox 360 Controller Problem

I did briefly try the VirtualBox VM and couldn't get the Wireless XBox 360 controller to work there either. Having no luck so far, I went back to VMware, looked around, and found this page: xbox360 wireless controller on Ubuntu/Steam with xboxdrv . Essentially the xpad kernel driver is replaced with...

Re: Virtual Machine XBox 360 Controller Problem

Yes, suspected that so the terminal output was included. The first node listed in the ls command is the VMware virtual mouse. The next four are to the XBox controller bitcraze@bitcraze-ubuntu:~$ ls -l /dev/input/js* crw-r--r-- 1 root root 13, 0 May 19 23:32 /dev/input/js0 crw-rw-r--+ 1 root root 13,...

Re: Virtual Machine XBox 360 Controller Problem

Hello Marcus, No output is produced in the console window upon start up of cfclient. I do see output directed to the Terminal. This reads: bitcraze@bitcraze-ubuntu:~/projects/crazyflie-pc-client$ python bin/cfclient Info: Using config path: /home/bitcraze/projects/crazyflie-pc-client/lib/../conf Inf...

[SOLVED] Virtual Machine XBox 360 Controller Problem

Hello all! Running the cfclient from terminal, I'm having trouble getting either 2013.4 or 2013.4.1 to work with a MS Wireless XBox 360 Controller within the virtual machine running on VMware. The stand-alone PC client works perfectly, so I know the controller and dongle are working fine. Within VM,...

Re: Drone cant get enough power to take off

Another question might be if you chose props from both of the packages or one package. The difference between the two sets of props is subtle, and you need two of each type, in alternating arrangement as described. Perhaps the bags could be labeled. First time I ran mine with props, I was careless t...

Re: GPS receiver extension

The uncertainty in received GPS positioning values might also be a limitation in a small flying space. A downward viewing camera and lotsa software might be interesting depending upon the objective, e.g., stabilization with a small flying space. Naturally, in a big space, with enhanced batteries, GP...
