Re: reinforcing the arms

In another thread Tobias mentions using fishing line. I'd suggest simply wrapping the arm in a layer of fishing line. A thin coating of CA (Super/Crazy glue) and then a crash would destroy the sensors, props, motors and what you hit before the arms break. I think? :?

Re: [SOLVED] Broken one of the arms

Hmmm. Interesting idea Tobias. One could then wrap that arm end with the fishing line, you mentioned above, to strengthen the member so that the flex is not too soft. The combination of flexible motor mount and wrapped fishing line would add dampening from vibrations and absorb the shock on impacts.

Re: SETUP FOR PS3controller/ROLL PITCH YAW

I am new to this but, the forum posting of 'Contribute .... Mappings' seems to address some of the controller setups. There is a config file *.json buried in %Root%/users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/cfclient/input/*.json It seems if we make adjustments here it will relate to our use of the game pads....

Re: Contribue joystick mappings

Questions 1. Where are the mappings indicated and/or in what file? 2. Are they simply a config file change that is active when the CFclient application runs? 3. We can change the actions for the buttons on our particular game device to our preference? Answers 1. Location: %UserProfile%\AppData\Roami...

Re: DIY Frame Ideas

Since the question related to not having a 3D printer I'd look to: - Paper clips and super glue. - Poster board stiffened with glue and cut into rings. Trash Items - soda straws - 16.9oz plastic water bottles have the perfect diameter - Plastic straps used to seal shipped items could be cut thinner ...

Re: Housing for the Crazyradio Dongle

I now see it is time for me to get a 3D printer :) . Any suggestions? Tobias - I thought since you were going to have printed motor mounts you had a printer? I've older machines but, my drool machines would be the under publicized Nophead Mendel 90 or the MakerGear M2. And if you were able to stay ...

connection to copter errors

I have recently updated the firmware via radio link and the bootloader. Cool feature. The CF Client connects to the copter and the copter attitude is displayed. I am using Win 8. Edit: In the below Error messages there is a spelling error --- "whas" should be "was". Errors - What...
