Hi everybody,
It is almost one year that I possessed the crazyflie. It for sure a very cool piece.
But...
It is still very difficult to fly straight or to direct somewhere, it is not very clear how you can fly the crazyflie. Nowadays I have the Bitcraze VM, and it is great improvement, but still to difficult to fly.
Request:
Maybe a video tutorial how to fly the piece (with the PS3 controller, the most common). Or maybe some tutorial on the Wiki page in stead of the reference to the forum.
I hope some day I can fly the crazyflie like the videos the team has posted last year.
Thanks a lot

Re: Crazyflie Tutorial Flying
A few tips:
1. Try to keep the orientation of the flie => Start learning how to control the yaw first while the flie is basically still on the ground.
2. Make sure that you trim the flie properly: http://wiki.bitcraze.se/projects:crazyf ... and_tricks
3. Make sure that the flie is on a level-surface when you power it on.

Re: Crazyflie Tutorial Flying
When I first started flying I found it easier to turn yaw off. I did this by setting the "id" for Yaw in my controller input config to "-1." That helped a lot since I used a mapping that had yaw set to the same stick as thrust and I wasn't very good at controlling my thumb's side-to-side movement when increasing and decreasing the thrust. After I got better at piloting, I turned yaw back on.
