[SOLVED] VMplayer trouble installing

I want to doe some development using the VM. I went to install VMPlayer but I keep getting an error while installing

It says;

Line 1089
Char 7
Code 0
Expected ")"

Then it gives a URL and button choise to continue or end. Which ever button I click simply returns a blank Greyscale window of the installer but it stops installing.
I then need to go to the task manager to close this window.

I am running windows 8.1. Is this my problem?
