Hi Omwdunkey, Have a look through my previous posts on here they may help as well.
http://forum.bitcraze.se/viewtopic.php?p=2673#p2673 For example is wiring arrangements on it. The picture was a bit small in your one, may be better to see it on the actual copter (or better, pins used on the nano). Voltage dropout does seem common when the thrusters are engaged though.
Fingers crossed the stepup converter does the job, I'll try it again in a few hours.

Perfect, thats exactly how I have mine set up too. Now we are all on the same page
So was the 22uF inductor wired between cam and tx or flie and tx

On my setup it was mainly the camera that was effected by the noise. Depending on your setup you could for example connect CF-VCOM -> inductor -> transmitter -> camera. It might even be better to connect CF-VCOM -> transmitter -> inductor -> cameraSo was the 22uF inductor wired between cam and tx or flie and tx

Hm. I've had no luck with the Step up converter. I've not had it receive any video signal while I've been testing it connected like this.
I'm connected to VCCOM (pin 16) for power and pin 19 for AGND. Was kind of hoping I would have got a signal tonight, darn.

Just in case anyone else was interested:
adding the inductor between VCOM and TX helped a lot, adding it between TX and cam didnt help much. Strange, as I think I have exactly the same hardware you do
What would be the drawback of using a larger inductor? Is there anyway you came up with 22uH or did you try a couple and see? Yeah, no electrical background here!

I pulled apart everything, diagnosing cabling and signal troubles.

Have got it working on the breadboard, now am about to introduce the step up converter and fiddle with that.
I think using the stepup to give me 3.3v probably wasn't enough. I'm going to try 4v, and then lastly 4.3v (I'm measuring that when it's plugged into external power like in the image above).
I really, really need to think of alternative wiring though, it's tediously slow for me to get to this point again.
The load is shared between motors with how it used to be mounted - which is great for portability. If I get the stepup convertor working, I would plan to distribute the weight around, maybe putting the tx and stepup at the rear, and cam at the front. Anyway, back to it!
*edit* I've got a video comparing batt power (tx + cam), usb powered (tx + cam), and under usb even in full throttle the signal doesn't degrade. Any questions let me know. It helped having the breadboard, although was much slower.
I'm going to solder some cables into the Stepup converter tommorrow and do a video with that. Running it off the breadboard though, gives a much better video signal
